EvoluteTools 2.1 Release

We are happy to announce EvoluteTools 2.1, a new release bringing many bug fixes and added features for the PRO version. All the functionality of EvoluteTools PRO is now exposed in its highly flexible Scripting Interface. EvoluteTools Lite allows you to use any reference geometry and build upon it a panel layout according to your specific constraints within minutes. The more advanced features in EvoluteTools PRO bridge the gap between design and fabrication, as showcased in the rationalization of KREOD, designed by Pavilion Architecture. To learn more about how EvoluteTools was used to help design the KREOD Pavilion, check out the following article.

EvoluteTools Primers

EvoluteTools is growing, almost 2 years old now, the plugin features a handy free version and a fully featured panel design, geometry rationalization and fabrication data export tool. In order to help and support our users in getting the most out of EvoluteTools, we now provide two Primer Manuals. The EvoluteTools Primer, written by Kris Hammerberg, is intended to be the ultimate starting point for new users of EvoluteTools, as well as a reference for more experienced users, while the EvoluteTools Scripting Primer, written by Marko Tomicic, aims to introduce users to the new possibilities within the EvoluteTools scripting interface, and to showcase how to take advantage of them with the many example scripts included. Both Primers, along with all example files, are available for free in our Learning Center.

Evolute.Link

More and more Educational Institutions are taking advantage of our recently launched Evolute.Link program. Evolute.Link is an Academic software support initiative started by Evolute GmbH, as developer of EvoluteTools PRO and EvoluteTools LITE for Rhino3d. The Evolute.Link program facilitates the exploration of EvoluteTools PRO in an academic environment, for teaching and non-commercial research only. Furthermore, the Primer Manuals available on our website can constitute a great resource for teaching. If you want to become an Evolute.Link member simply contact us and we will send you the information brochure and a firm offer. Since we have a strong academic background, we like the idea of our plugin being used for teaching. We believe this is a great way to get students interested in architectural geometry. We can also offer training sessions and Workshop hosting.
